We got back home from TCH. Sean isn't back to 100%, but he was tired of being there. He was also interested in eating but frustrated because he couldn't use his right hand to feed himself due to the IV. Slowly Sean will be regaining his appetite and strength. So good to be home!
Just home for a little while to clean up and get some fresh clothes. Sean hasn't been able to keep anything down for the past two days, so we are at TCH. We are doing okay, but Sean is just miserable with this bug. We are praying for a quick recovery. Just asking for prayers right now for what we think is a stomach bug.
Finally got to see some of my friends from Pharmacy School. We've all been super-busy with work and life, but it was really nice to get to sit down together and break bread. We talked about everything (even the upcoming election) but couldn't stop talking about work. Dinner and dessert were delish and hopefully the next get-together isn't too far in the future.
Thanks to Hong (sp?) for talking this photo and holding his own against all the estrogen at the table. He was even a good sport when we talked about women issues, like the pregnancy categories of certain antihistamines.
I've been working a lot (so it feels), and Sean has been missing me. So I decided that we would spend thursday together. We went to the Children's Museum where we hadn't been in ages and then had lunch with Daddy. In this video, Sean walks down the ramp very gingerly because of the decline which he's not used to.
Today we finally got Sean into Sunday School. We've been in the foyer or the back of the church so Sean can run around and not bother (too) many people. But a couple of weeks ago we decided to finally give Sunday School a try. It was a beautiful day, so the class was outside at the playground. Sean saw them and didn't need any convincing to go out too. Matthew and I actually got to sing (well, lip synch for me since I've had this horrible cough) and focus on the sermon. There were two couples in front of us that had toddlers so we would sometimes watch them and miss Sean. But those babies were content to sit/stand in one spot, which wouldn't work for our Sean. But our pager didn't go off and Sean had fun.
Slowly we are becoming more scheduled parents... It's a good thing.
Sean has been learning how to use a regular cup at school. They're also teaching him how to pour milk from a small pitcher into his cup, but we haven't done this at home because I'm not ready for spills. And we don't have a little pitcher for him to use. However, yesterday at the grocery store and today at lunch, Sean drank his water from little cups all by himself. We used the clear plastic cups for wine tasting at the grocery store, and these little teacups are the perfect size for his hands. May have to get out our old college shot glasses at home...
