Visited my ob/gyn a few days ago and found out that we are 12 weeks pregnant! Was quite a surprise, since I didn't think I was that far along. My due date is june 26. BTW, if you can't read Sean's shirt, it says, "I'm not lion; I'm going to be a big brother."
So after spending 12 hours at work, listening to the radio and customers talking about the snow outside, I finally got to go out and see our truck. It was beautiful! Now, all our relatives who live up North may say, "What's the big deal?" But it rarely snows here so this is a little treat. I was actually in Kingwood (~35 miles north of Houston) and by the time I got back home, there was no snow in Houston itself. There's actually a song about how there's no snow in Houston. Will have to see if I can find it...
I was soooo looking forward to this evening because our friends Thai & Huy invited us to their neighborhood for Santa, a reindeer, and some snow (from a snow machine, of course). I had planned to get pictures of Sean in the snow for our Christmas card. (Coming to a mailbox near you!) So Sean and I went out there, but the snow was really packed ice and Sean didn't like it. Then once we got to Santa, I told Sean I was going to put him in Santa's lap, but he said no. So they just shook hands instead.
Thai and Huy already had their Christmas tree up so they offered to let us take Sean's pictures there for our card. (Thank you so much!)
Grandma & Grandpa came to Houston for a day trip and we had lunch together. Sean got to play with Grandpa's watch & he wanted to help Grandma spread butter on the bread for Grandpa. We had a great time and Sean got to eat a fresh berry dessert in a martini glass! (And eventually cry when Mama had to take it away.)
