Had a little trouble getting Jack to wear the hat, so we had to show him what he looked like in the mirror.
So many times when we went out to eat, the boys got cookies and/or ice cream from the waitstaff. Which is great and all, but not the usual for our diet. Here is Jack enjoying the last ice cream of our trip at a little cafe in Lake Charles.
Matthew and I rented a couple of scooters. I was really nervous and we drove around the parking lot for a good 20 minutes before hitting the road. Even then, I cruised at about 10-15 mph, so there was quite a line of cars behind us.
Stopped at a cookie shop for a snack. Matt's first slurpee in over a decade. On our way back, I actually drove the speed limit!

For some reason, Sean kept sticking out his tongue for these photos. And he wanted me to do the same.
Of course, I had to oblige.
Of course, we had to have beignets. We had already been telling Sean and trying to describe the fluffy, deep-fried pillows of dough swimming in powdered sugar. The boys liked them because they've inherited my love of carbs.

Once Jack is done eating, he never wants to sit down. We had to eat at Pirates' Alley because Sean wore his pirate swimsuit, of course.
Just had dinner with my gal pals at Brenner's. Looking forward to next year's restaurant week!

Sean's school hosted a Dessert & Tea with Mom for Mother's Day. I switched my work schedule around to be able to go. Had a great time with my Smart Cupcake!
