Happy 1st Birthday!

Oh, no, not another birthday! J/k. He doesn't look terribly happy in this photo because it was kinda windy and he was squinting.

Celebrating 11 Months With a Trip to the Pool

You're taking me in there?

Actually, the pool was too cold, so we went into the hot tub. Sean wasn't interested at first...

The beginning of a smile...

He cannot resist a silly Daddy! (Nor can I.)

Teaching Sean how to make a splash.

Hello, Eight Months... with Six-Month Shots

Now that Sean's healthy again, we had to go back to the pediatrician for the sixth-month checkup and vaccinations that we missed when he got sick with RSV. Sean's height and weight were pretty much the same as a couple of weeks ago, except that he "lost" about 0.5 pound. This was probably due to the fact that last time we weighed Sean with clothes and today he only had a diaper when he went on the scale. Sean did great with the shots and calmed down very quickly after he started crying. I had brought a lot of toys to distract him.

The doc told me that Sean's doing very well developmentally and I had to fight the proud momma urge to say, "Well, of course! He's a smart baby!" ;)

Two Month Check-up

Sean had his two-month check-up today. He's in the 50th percentile for height and weight at 22.75 inches and 11 pounds 10.6 ounces. Of course the highlight of the doctor's visit was the vaccinations.

He calmed down quickly afterwards and is still friends with the nurse.

Sean is One Month Old

Sean turned one month old yesterday. We kinda celebrated with his great-aunt and great-uncle at our favorite dim sum restaurant here in Houston. We used to go out for dim sum almost every sunday when I was pregnant and I was so excited to finally go out again. I was also a little nervous since I'm nursing and trying to get used to feeding Sean in public. But Matthew was with me to make sure everything went smoothly.

The first picture is after I washed Sean's hair. I love to make it spiky. When he gets older, we are totally giving him a mohawk!
