Merry Christmas!

Sean was so excited; I think he woke up around 5am and then went back to sleep.
Got a Heckler & Koch MP5 - what every other 3-year-old wants.

I can't believe it was all over so quickly.

New Lyrics to Christmas Carols

Today we listened to some Christmas carols as Daddy put up the Christmas tree.

Sean was singing, "Police Knobby-da...  Police Knobby-da...  Police Knobby-da...."  Then he asked, "Momma, why do they say Police?"

"It's Feliz NavidAD."

Happy Campers

At Sean's request, Daddy put up our tent in our living room.  The first night, I told Sean that when he gets bigger he can camp outside in our backyard.  "No, we can't because of the bears!"

Trick or Treat!

Decorated the front porch and got the boys back into their costumes to go trick-or-treating.  Only made it to a few houses down one street.  It was a pretty warm evening.  But Sean was happy to pass out candy and see all the kids who came to our door for candy.

My Cute Jackie Bear

Just had to capture his waddle for posterity!

Fun at Fall Festival

Here is Sean with Micky and Ellen, two of his best friends at school.
Sean with his teachers, Miss Bridget and Miss Elizabeth.

Jackie-the-Pooh

Had a little trouble getting Jack to wear the hat, so we had to show him what he looked like in the mirror.

The Dread Pirate Sean

Here is Sean getting into his "scary pirate" character.

Off to the Pumpkin Patch!

Here we are waiting for the hayride, which was missing the hay.

Looking for two good pumpkins.  Curiously, the pumpkins were unattached to any stems or branches or whatever they are attached to when growing.  As if they just fell from the sky into this pumpkin patch...

In Search of a Pumpkin...

We took the boys to Dewberry Farms to pick out some pumpkins.  It's kinda like a state fair, but I didn't find any funnel cake.

The boys had to drive the big tractor.  How big was it?
Huge!

The Last Ice Cream

So many times when we went out to eat, the boys got cookies and/or ice cream from the waitstaff.  Which is great and all, but not the usual for our diet.  Here is Jack enjoying the last ice cream of our trip at a little cafe in Lake Charles.

Our Last Morning on Vacation

This is what greets me every morning.  Just wanted to capture all the hair.

Jack loves his oatmeal, but it's pretty messy.

Rooftop Pool at the Westin in New Orleans

Great view of the French Quarter.  I had to keep Jack from jumping onto the water.  He thought it was a big bathtub.

Matthew Boulevard

I was super-excited.  Matthew, not so much...  After all, the chances of finding a street with my name are pretty slim.

Walking Around Our Little Neighborhood

In Preparation for My Vespa...

Matthew and I rented a couple of scooters.  I was really nervous and we drove around the parking lot for a good 20 minutes before hitting the road.  Even then, I cruised at about 10-15 mph, so there was quite a line of cars behind us.
Stopped at a cookie shop for a snack.  Matt's first slurpee in over a decade.  On our way back, I actually drove the speed limit!

Naval Aviation Museum

After the show, we went to the Naval Aviation Museum.  There was an aircraft carrier playground in the children's area that the boys just loved.  We did not make it past the kids' area to see any of the planes.

In the Cockpit of an F/A-18 Fighter Jet

Sean knew exactly what to do once he sat down.
Daddy barely fit!
