Peek-a-boo!

Sean has discovered how to open cabinets and doors. I'm going to have to do some rearranging so he can have the freedom to open some of them and not get into dangerous things.

Baby's First Dim Sum

We took Sean to our favorite dim sum restaurant today. In these photos, he's eating tofu, but he ate a little bit of everything. Sean had dim sum on a regular basis in utero, so it's not surprising that he likes it all. I think he was also enjoying the novelty of eating with chopsticks.

Sushi With Lolo

Lolo came to visit, and we took him to one of our favorite sushi restaurants. I only packed some crackers for Sean since I assumed that they could cook a little piece of salmon for him to eat. Sean has had salmon twice and he really likes it. Unfortunately, the chef would not cook the salmon, he would only sear one side so most of the piece was still raw. I guess that cooking sushi-grade salmon is some sort of anathema for a sushi chef, but I thought they might be excited since I'm getting Sean started early. ;) Sean ended up getting udon noodles with some chicken and veggies.

A Second Playdate

Sean and I went to Mimi and Dylan's house this morning. While the moms had fun, I think the boys needed a little more time to get used to each other. Dylan was a great host and offered me lots to eat: one of his Cheerios and a nibble of his cookie. Mimi took this picture of Sean and me, and I'm posting it since my friend Judy (Hi, Judy!) said that I need more photos of me on the blog.

Today was the first day that Sean had separation anxiety/stranger anxiety. I've been careful with him since he's in the age range for it, slowly introducing him to other people, etc. But today he cried when I left the room and tried to follow me to wherever I was going. We are bonded for life now.

Playing with Grandma

I was busy working this past week, but I'm finally off again and back to posting...

Sean gets so excited sometimes. I can picture him as a toddler making these faces as he runs around and plays...

Look into my eyes... You are getting veeerryyy sleeeppyyy....
