A Trip to the Fire Station!

Sean and I toured a fire station. Here's Sean in the driver's seat.

Next to the BIG tires! And with hot chocolate spilled on his shirt...

The Fire Captain showed Sean the other fire engine going to another call. He was really nice and pointed out all the tools on the truck, turned on the lights, and helped Sean get into the cab. (It's very high and I myself had trouble getting up there.) At first Sean was quiet and just took everything in. I think the Fire Captain wasn't sure if he understood everything he told him. Sean was looking around for the ignition, but we were told that there are no keys - specifically so they can't lose them! Sean talked about our visit for days afterwards and wants to visit again soon.

Today Matthew aced his exam, so we went to our favorite sushi place to celebrate. (Actually, I took the boys to my favorite sushi place first because we will soon be moving far away.) Then we checked out all the Christmas decorations which were already up.
