Red Spots III: The Rash Returns

So Sean broke out in a rash tuesday which I thought was due to his vaccines last week, but I spoke to the nurse at our pediatrician's office and it is probably due to a viral illness that just happened to coincide with his checkup last week. He has been fussy and picky with his food, mainly wanting to nurse and only eating a few grapes here and there. Apparently this is quite common in toddlers, so I guess we know what to look for now. Hopefully he'll be over it soon...

Summertime at the Park

Just enjoying a sunday afternoon at the Discovery Green. Sean didn't splash around as much as before, but I think it was because of the shots he had on thursday. He mostly wanted to be carried, so next time I'll have to bring a change of clothing for myself as well.

Baby Got Back

We've been teaching Sean how to put things back where they belong, and he's also learning it at school. He's doing really well, but mostly we have to nudge him along. If you're wondering what happened at the end, Sean tried to stuff the cookie into my mouth. Yes, he likes to feed Mommy & Daddy now.

Fifteen-Month Checkup

Today Sean had his fifteen-month-checkup. Height was 30.5 inches and weight was 22 pounds 9.6 ounces. When the pediatrician pointed out that these measurements put Sean in the 25th percentile for both height and weight, I mentioned that I had found a chart from the World Health Organization for exclusively breastfed babies (on that chart, Sean's weight is in ~70th percentile). She said that the AAP growth charts are for ALL babies, regardless of feeding habits. (Oh, well...)

Sean pushed the wheeled stool all over the room and I had to keep him from running over the nurse's feet while she was writing in the chart. The doc had a med student training with her and they were both impressed when Sean pointed to his teeth and said, "Teet." Plus, they were charmed when Sean was giving high-fives. Quite the charmer! We're going to have to be careful...
